Ebrahim (Ebi) Hussain
Director & Science Lead
Ebi is an accomplished Environmental Scientist with over a decade of experience in both government and private sectors.
He has worked across multiple environmental domains, but his passion lies in aquatic ecosystems.
He has designed and managed large scale environmental monitoring, conservation, and resource management programs throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. He has a strong understanding of environmental policy but is equally at home in the field or lab.
He has a particular fondness for lakes and is the founder of an environmental charity organisation called Aotearoa Lakes. He is also a passionate technical/scientific SCUBA diver and loves developing unique, pragmatic, underwater survey methods and monitoring techniques.

Adam Whatton
Director & Dive Lead
Adam is an experienced SCUBA diver, having completed well over 2500 logged dives. He is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor and is also a qualified closed circuit rebreather diver.
His interest in conservation and regeneration comes from this time in the moana / ocean; seeing for himself the threats that face the waters of Aotearoa New Zealand.
He has provided technical & safety advisory services to a number of NZ based organisations, including nationally recognised charities and community groups.
He is also the Co-founder & Director of Waiheke Dive & Snorkel, a multi-award winning regenerative diving experience on Waiheke Island. Since opening in 2017, Waiheke Dive & Snorkel has continuously re-invested in it’s community and the waters surrounding the motu / island, ultimately winning the Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand awards in 2021.
